NEXT ROAD RIDE TRIP

Far North Road Trip

This Trip leaves Whakatane on the morning of Friday 16th April and makes its way up to Kaihu (30 kms north of Dargaville) we will spend one night there and then head to Waipapakauri (90 mile beach) for a night, sunday we head back down to Sandspit (Warkworth) for one night -  travelling home on Monday 19th April, there are limited spaces so if you want to join us give John a call asap.  Would love to see you come along.

ROUND 3:      February 7^th 2010              Otamarakau

ROUND 5:      March 28^th 2010                 Galatea

ROUND 6:      April 11^th 2010                    Taneatua

 

School Charity Fundraising Trail Ride Series, organised and promoted by Underwood & Wilkins Motorcycles as non competitive Family Fun for all ages and abilities.  All profits go to the schools.

 

All events cater for:

Ÿ        The little ones on mini 2 & 4 wheelers in a smaller paddock - Parental    supervision is required.

Ÿ        Absolute beginners and first time riders on a small easy track, generally 3-5 km long.

Ÿ        Experienced and not so experienced riders on the big track, generally 20-30km long, not too hard with easy option splits.  Suitable for 2 and 4 wheelers, old and new.  No pillions or under 16’s on full size A.T.V’s.

Ÿ        Helmets and sensible riding clothing compulsory,  No gumboots.

Ÿ        Good food and drinks at reasonable prices at all venues, available before rides start.

 

Ÿ        SIGN ON FROM 8.30, COMPULSORY MASS BRIEFING AT 9.45, RIDES START AT 10.00am. Tracks generally close at 3pm.

 

Ÿ        Fees:  $25.00 Senior: $15.00 High School: $10.00 Primary age and Younger: $50.00 Family (Maximum of 4)

 

Shop at Underwood and Wilkins for all your riding gear, parts and accessories-  for all makes and tyres and servicing.  Special prices on boots and riding gear.  Out of towners, call us( phone 07-308 6166) and we’ll subsidise courier costs.

Round 1: Charity, Nukuhau School: Raroa Road, Waimana.

From Rotorua go to Awakeri then right to Taneatua on to Waimana.

From Tauranga come to the Fire Station and turn right to Taneatua and on to Waimana. It’s at the end of Raroa Road.

 

Round 2: Charity, Manawahe School. 1913 Manawahe Road, Manawahe

From Rotorua turn left at the Whakatane end of Lake Rotoma into Manawahe Road.

From Whakatane through Edgecumbe towards Matata, first left after the Tarawera River Bridge, past the MX track which is on your left and first left onto Manawahe Road.

From Tauranga, first right after Matata subway, right at second road on right, past the MX track which is on your left and left onto Manawahe Road. In all

 

Round 3: Charity, Otamarakau School. 

Pikowai Road which is off the Matata Straights, between Whakatane and Te Puke. Follow Pikowai Road to Airstrip Road and you are there.

 

Round 4: Charity, Matata School.

Mimiha Road which is off the Matata Straights, between Whakatane and Te Puke. Up Mimiha Road and follow arrows.

 

Round 5: Charity, Galatea School. Galatea Road.

From Whakatane, out past the Awakeri Hot Springs then first left on to McDonalds Road , over the dam and carry on to Galatea.

From Rotorua, come to Te Teko , through Te Teko and over bridge, take the first road right by an old Service Station and carry on over the dam and carry on to Galatea.

From Tauranga, first right after the Matata subway towards Edgecumbe, in to Edgecumbe Township and turn right towards Te Teko ( don’t go over the bridge ) come to Te Teko and turn left, over the bridge and first turn right and over the Matahina dam and carry on to Galatea.

 

Round 6: Charity, Taneatua School. Fosters Road, Taneatua.

From Rotorua, got to Awakeri, then right towards Taneatua, Come to Road / Rail bridge then turn right into Fosters Road follow arrows to site.

From Tauranga, come over the Whakatane bridge towards town, turn right at Firestation and follow road out towards Taneatua, turn right into white pine bush road, when you come to road / rail bridge turn left into Fosters road, follow arrows to site.
